Surf Seeker x Sisterhood of Surf
Maldives Dream Trip
5th - 13th September 2027
Host: Angie, Flora & Surf Seeker
Spots Available: 4 Spots
Location: 8 Night Surf Charter in the Maldives

Endless Turquoise. Sisterhood of Surf Style.
Join Sisterhood of Surf founder Angie, Gabriel from Surf Seeker, and photographer Flora Henderson for an unforgettable week exploring the Maldives.
Sisterhood of Surf is teaming up with Surf Seekers.
In September 2027 we are ticking off a bucket list trip and we’re travelling between the North and South Malé Atolls, moving with the ocean to find the best waves each day. Surf locations are chosen based on wind, swell and conditions so we can maximise fun, safety and wave count across the week.
Designed exclusively for women riding longboards, mid lengths and fun shortboards, this is a surf adventure for those who love being in the ocean, exploring new places, and sharing the journey with a supportive community of women.
September is one of the most magical times in the Maldives. The swell is playful, the water is warm, and the lineups are uncrowded. Rather than chasing heavy surf, we chase flow — long rides, soft shoulders, and waves that are fun & build confidence.
Your 8 nights will be on a Luxury Motor Yatch that has 12 rooms with private bathrooms, a dining room, TV room and a sun deck for our surf mobility, star gazing and fun dress up night!
We have put together a dream trip - lots of surfing, snorkeling with out of the world marine life, fishing, island hopping, local experiences, adventure, photography, droning, surf education, fun and grounding SOS Activities.
If we are going to the Maldives, we are going to ensure it will be a once in a lifetime trip!

Lower Intermediate - Intermediate level surfing
This is not a beginner surf trip.
This experience is designed for sisters who are progressing to intermediate surfers — women who are already comfortable in the ocean and riding green waves, and who want to build confidence, improve their surfing, and spend a full week immersed in the water with support, guidance and sisterhood.
This is not a beginner surf trip, but it is also not a high-performance surf camp.
You will not be placed into situations beyond your ability and there is no pressure to perform. Surf sessions are guided by conditions, energy, and personal comfort.
Support comes through:
Local Maldivian surf guide for conditions and positioning
Angie, Gabriel and Your Sisters supporting you in the line up
Boat surf education sessions with Angie, Gabriel & a local guide
To get the most out of this week, you should be able to:
Ride a hardboard (longboard, mid-length or funboard welcome)
Catch your own green waves
Paddle into the lineup independently
Manage your board safely in sets (turtle roll or equivalent control)
Navigate the lineup with awareness and basic surf etiquette
Understand that surfing is unpredictable — and still find joy regardless of conditions
Sisters must bring their own surfboards suited to their level & style.

Before You Travel
✈️ Getting to the Maldives
Fly into Velana International Airport (MLE) in Malé, Maldives.
From Australia, Singapore Airlines is one of the most popular and convenient options, with regular connections through Singapore. Other airlines may also operate depending on your departure city. We recommend arriving the day before the retreat begins to avoid any unexpected travel delays and to start your adventure feeling rested.
👋 Meet the Hosts
Check-in to our surf charter begins at 6pm on departure day.
To make the start of the week even more special, hosts will be in Malé the day before the retreat. From 2pm, we'll be at a nearby café or meeting spot close to the harbour, giving everyone the opportunity to meet, ask any last-minute questions, and get to know one another before boarding. We'll confirm the exact location with all guests prior to the trip.
🛂 Visa Information
Australian passport holders (and many other nationalities) receive a free tourist visa on arrival in the Maldives, provided passport validity and entry requirements are met. As entry requirements can change, we recommend checking the latest government travel advice before departure.
🏄 Bringing Your Boards
Sisters are required to bring their own surfboards.
As this trip is designed for longboards, mid-lengths and fun shortboards, we recommend bringing the board you feel most comfortable surfing.
Coach Angie will be travelling with:
9'2" Longboard
6'6" Mid-length
Every airline has different baggage allowances and surfboard policies, so please check your airline's board size and weight limits before booking your flights.
Need to Hire a Board?
Surfboard hire is available in the Maldives but we recommend organising before arrival. If you'd prefer to hire a board rather than travel with your own, we're happy to provide recommendations on places to make contact with.
