What if it doesn't work?

Then again.. What if it does!

A few years ago, I made a decision that changed everything.

I invested our savings into starting Sisterhood of Surf.

I paid a 50% non-refundable deposit on a retreat before I could even advertise it.

I hired a mentor I couldn’t really afford, because I believed in the dream before it existed.

I walked away from security—steady income, set hours—to chase something uncertain.

There were no guarantees.

Just a vision, a deep feeling, and a whole lot of risk.

I’ve taken less, trusted more, worked harder than I ever have—through long, unpaid hours—doubted often, and kept going.

And while I still have a long way to go, I can say this:

I’m building a life filled with purpose, adventure, and community.

On Friday, I sat down with a team to share my vision for Sisterhood of Surf.

It made me stop and reflect on just how much has already been achieved on this journey.

They asked me some tough questions, and my answers were clear:

I want to make a difference—not just in my own life, but in the lives of the women I meet.

I want to inspire, empower, and educate.

I want to give back.

I want to create change.

And I truly love everything that SOS stands for.

To anyone standing at the edge of something new—scared, unsure, questioning if it’s worth it— Know that you’re not alone.

Risk can be terrifying, but it can also be the doorway to everything you’ve ever wanted.
