TERMS & CONDITIONS
Sisterhood of Surf Retreats – Terms & Conditions
We’re so excited to have you joining us!
Before your trip commences, please take a moment to read through the details below. By confirming your place on our retreats, you agree to the following terms.
1. Booking & Payment & Cancellations
• Sisters are covered by a 30 Day refund if they cannot make this trip work. After the 30 days, deposit and payments are non-refundable unless sisterhood of surf can fill your spot. If your spot is filled, a refund will be given minus a $150AUD administrative fee.
• The remaining balance is due by the date shown on your invoice. If payment terms aren’t met, sisterhood of surf has the right to cancel your spot and it may be offered to someone on the waitlist.
• Payments can be made via the methods listed on our website or in your invoice.
• If we need to cancel or postpone the retreat for reasons beyond our control (like border closures, natural disasters, or low numbers), we’ll offer you a credit for a future retreat or a refund (minus any unrecoverable costs).
2. Travel Insurance
• Travel insurance is Mandatory for International Travel.
We recommend getting this as soon as your cooling off period is completed to ensure you are covered. Sisterhood of surf must spot this before traveling with us for record. Copies must be sent to sos_manager@outlook.com
• Travel insurance is essential.
It should cover medical emergencies, surf-related injuries, trip cancellations, and lost or damaged belongings.
• Sisterhood of Surf isn’t responsible for travel disruptions, cancellations, or extra costs related to changes outside our control.
3. Health & Safety
• By booking, you confirm that you’re physically and mentally fit to take part in retreat activities.
• Please let us know if you have any injuries, medical conditions, or medications that might affect your participation.
• Our team is here to keep you safe, but you join all surf and movement activities at your own risk.
4. The 50/50 Rule
We’ll bring our 50% — the planning, the guidance, the support, and the love that makes these retreats what they are. But the other 50% is yours. Bring your effort, enthusiasm, open mind, “go with the flow” vibes, and kindness toward everyone around you. Together, that’s where the magic happens.
5. Mother Nature
We can’t control the weather or the waves — and that’s part of the adventure! How you show up each day and the mindset you bring to the surf will shape your experience. Our coaches will always guide and support you through challenges so you can progress safely and have fun. If the waves are small — remember, you’re still on holiday. If conditions aren’t safe, we’ll come up with other options to make sure your day still feels amazing.
6. Conduct & Behaviour
We’re all here for good vibes and connection. We ask that you treat everyone — guests, locals, and staff — with respect and kindness. If someone’s behaviour affects the safety or enjoyment of others, we may ask them to leave the retreat without a refund.
7. Photos & Media
We love capturing the magic of our retreats — the smiles, the surf, and the sisterhood. By joining the retreat, you agree that photos and videos may be taken by the Sisterhood of Surf team or our hired photographers and videographers for use on our website, social media, and marketing materials. Any photos or videos captured during the retreat by Sisterhood of Surf or our team remain the intellectual property (IP) of Sisterhood of Surf.
You’re welcome to use any photos or videos you appear in for personal use only (for example, on your own social media). Commercial use — including using retreat media to promote your own brand, business, or services — is not permitted without written consent from Sisterhood of Surf.
If you’d prefer not to be photographed or filmed, please let us know before the retreat begins — no worries at all.
8. Originality & Respect for Our Work
Sisterhood of Surf retreats are built from years of love, creativity, and experience. We ask that all participants respect the originality of our concepts, content, workshops, retreat structure, and community culture. By joining a retreat, you agree that you’re here to learn, connect, and experience — not to copy, replicate, or reproduce any part of our programs, branding, teaching materials, or event structure for personal or commercial use. We welcome inspiration and growth, but the ideas, materials, and experiences created by Sisterhood of Surf remain our intellectual property and cannot be reproduced without written permission.
9. Liability
While we take every precaution to keep you safe, all activities — including surfing, swimming, travel, and excursions — are done at your own risk. Sisterhood of Surf, its team, and partners aren’t responsible for any injury, loss, or damage, except where required by law.
10. Agreement By joining this retreat, you acknowledge that you’ve read and understood these Terms & Conditions and agree to uphold them throughout the experience. Your booking and payment confirm your participation, and by attending, you agree to bring your best energy, attitude, and sisterhood spirit to the experience.
